The median (Me) is the value falling in the middle of a ranked (ordered) population. Find xi at which the accumulated frequency S will be greater than ∑f / 2 = 98. This value is xi = 22. Thus, the median is 22.
The median serves as a good indicator for asymmetric data distribution, since even when there are data outliers, the median is more robust to the effects of outliers.
