China’s capabilities to become a superpower in comparison with United States
The 21st century is an era dominated by large countries that are called “superpowers”. There are many different ideas and statements of the future world superpowers. There is an assumption that China, the factory of the world, will overtake the United States as a world leading economic country. On the other hand, many analysts assess that the U.S. will long remain the only state with the capability to be a superpower. Indeed, after China the most plausible candidate would be European Union (EU). The EU has become a symbol of stability, democracy and soft power. In addition Europe has become an international power in solving armed conflicts and humanitarian crises worldwide. Whether all these prognoses come true or not it is still unknown. Now to start with, there’s a need to explain what makes the country powerful.
