ABSTRACT
Web and native mobile apps are software products designed specifically for mobile devices to optimize a particular problem solution. They are actively used but the potential of their use for educational purposes remains inadequately explained.
This work aims to study the effectiveness of using mobile applications in self-directed learning English.
In the paper, the following methods were used: literature review, scientific experiment, and statistical analysis.
Primary data for the study were collected through surveys.
